本装置は、放射線を取り扱う研究施設、実験室で作業する利用者の手、足、衣服の放射性物質による表面汚染を測定するモニタで、汚染検査室に設置されています。
人の手足に付着したβ(γ)線を放出する物質による汚染を検出し、あらかじめ設定した警報レベルを越えると警報音を発すると同時に、手・足などの汚染部位を表示します。

The hand-foot-cloth monitor set at Radioactive Contamination Inspection Room will detect small quantities of beta/gamma contamination on hands, shoes, clothing, etc.
If the measured value exceeds the pre-programmed alarm level, it emits an alarm sound and indicates the area of contamination on the hands and feet.
