ラジオアイソトープ(RI)取り扱い実験法

 本講義は、RIを使用した小動物の分子イメージングについてその原理、使用方法、研究例を、1時間ほど英語で行ないます。続いて、インスタントイメージャーと液体シンチレーションカウンターの紹介と簡単な施設の見学を行う予定です。


1. 英語講義

 最初に、“NanoSPECT/CT小中動物用Invivo分子イメージングシステム”をご紹介します。従来の装置がもつ問題点を解消し、非常に高い感度とともに高い分解能が得られる特許技術であります新しいMMP-SPECTの説明と各種応用データをご覧いただきます。

The sub-mm resolution barrier in functional in-vivo animal imaging
And increases sensitivity ten fold

Recent development in small animal SPECT imaging have lead to greatly improved sensitivity and resolution. Commercial small animal SPECT system such as Bioscan's NanoSPECT/CT make use of proprietary multiplexed multi-pinhole technology to increase SPECT sensitivity in large field-of-views by orders of magnitude, thus reaching sensitivity levels similar to animal PET. At the same time, resolution of these NanoSPECT system is one order of magnitude better than can be obtained from animal PET system,thus enabling to image small animals such as mice with resolution of less than 500microns. Moreover, these system are also able to handle larger subjects, including rats, rabbits, monkey capabilities never before efficiently achieved on a preclinical SPECT imaging system.

With over 50 systems installed worldwide since its introduction in 2006, the dual-modality NanoSPECT/CT System is currently revolutionizing the way nuclear scanning can be used for translational molecular imaging. The ability to use a wide variety of tracers, both diagnostic and therapeutic, with energy ranges spanning all SPECT tracers and including I-125, plus the exclusive use of mult-channel analysis technology for simultaneous multi-tracer applications, make it possible to conduct SPECT imaging for applications never possible before. These include SPECT microscopy and whole-body biodistribution studies, direct in-vivo quantification studies yielding actual concentration units per volume element of tissue, dynamic SPECT studies providing pharmacokinetic data on time scales as short as 1minute and as long as several days, fused SPECDT/CT and SPECT/MRI studies.

We will present new data obtained by users of NanoSPECT/CT systems to illustrate the expanding use of SPECT imaging in translational research. These real-world study examples will cover a wide range of applications in multiple therapeutic areas such as: oncology, CNS, cardiovascular diseases, metabolic disorders, inflammatory, autoimmune diseases, stem cell tracking and others.
By these data will show you that NanoSPECT/CT system is only instrument to provide the enough sensitivity and resolution for small animal molecular imaging.


2. インスタントイメージャー・液体シンチレーションカウンターの紹介

 インスタントイメージャーという直読式の放射線測定器の紹介と使用方法を説明します。この装置を使うとリアルタイムで測定結果が確認でき、研究の迅速化が実現できます。
 また、液体シンチレーションカウンターについては使用方法及びその原理を簡単に説明します。
